I have been actively involved in important Canadian health policy issues, including generic drugs pricing, injectable drug shortages, travel restrictions during the 2014/2015 Ebola epidemic, and scope of practice issues within respiratory therapy.

Through my work in this area, I have sat on several national and provincial committees (the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative, the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario Scope of Practice Advisory Committee, and the National Health Sciences Students’ Association), and actively liaise with senior decision-makers in ministries of health, industry, professional bodies, and governmental officials.

My work has been highlighted in the media (the Globe and Mail, Embassy Magazine, and the Toronto Star, among others) and I have been a guest author in other venues including the Health Council of Canada’s blog.
