I have been actively involved in important Canadian health policy issues, including generic drugs pricing, injectable drug shortages, travel restrictions during the 2014/2015 Ebola epidemic, and scope of practice issues within respiratory therapy.

Through my work in this area, I have sat on several national and provincial committees (the Canadian Interprofessional Health Collaborative, the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario Scope of Practice Advisory Committee, and the¬†National Health Sciences Students’ Association), and actively liaise with senior decision-makers in ministries of health, industry, professional bodies, and governmental officials.

My work has been highlighted in the media (the Globe and Mail, Embassy Magazine,¬†and the Toronto Star, among others) and I have been a guest author in other venues including the Health Council of Canada’s blog.
